It’s hard not to love the movie Pretty Woman. The combination of 90s nostalgia, Cinderella themes, and attractive co-stars, makes it a feel-good film for just about anyone. 23 years since the movie released (okay, so technically I was an infant), it’s still one of my favorite romance flicks. Who cares about Nicholas Sparks, #amiright?.
Anyways, way back when the movie was being made, Tripp NYC designer Daang Goodman had a store on St. Mark’s Place in Manhattan that was frequented by stylists and musicians (read our interview with Daang Goodman here). Pretty Woman’s stylist stopped by and the rest was history. A dress was selected and worn by Julia Roberts in the scene where she visits Richard Gere’s hotel room. Since then, the dress has been re-made in a number of color-ways and is now available on Miss KL in a fiery red and black combo. Whether you’re looking for a fun party dress or a perfect 90s relic, the Pretty Woman dress is sure to be totally rad. And if Julia isn’t enough for you (let me guess, you were born after 1995?) then I bet Emma Watson looking like a total babe in a shoot for GQ will be enough to convince you.
