When it comes to style, the leading ladies of the French New Wave film movement have been inspiring fashion-minded women since the 1960s. This distinct style, noted for its minimalist color palette, is gracefully feminine, a bit nautical and very sexy. I’ve picked ten items from the Miss KL site which are inspired by one of my favorite French New Wave films, Pierrot Le Fou (1965), directed by Jean-Luc Godard. In this film, the gorgeous Anna Karina is cast as the leading woman, Marianne. Anna Karina, who was married to the director for some time, is often regarded as Godard’s greatest muse. Here are ten ways you can incorporate this classic 1960s look into your wardrobe this spring:

1. The Sam Edelman Jolie Shoe in Black

2. The Blaque Market Dainty Skirt

3. The Quiksilver/QSW Wax Flower Eyelet Dress
