What’s the first thing that springs to mind when you think of France? Baguettes? Skinny women? Incredibly chic and cutting edge fashion? These things are undeniably present in French culture, cliché or not. For me, it’s all about Brigitte Bardot, Chanel, and French DJs and producers. And baguettes. Won’t lie.

The expression “je ne sais quoi”, (literally ‘I don’t know what’ in French) translates to “an intangible quality that makes something distinctive or attractive.” I’ve been living here for about 6 months now, and while I have gained a couple lbs. because I am a non-smoking American who unfortunately isn’t immune to carbs and chocolate, I have also developed a real appreciation for the seemingly effortless sophistication in all things from food to fashion to French musical production.

In homage to my adopted country, I put together un petit mix featuring exclusively French DJs and producers. I even recorded it using CDJS to keep it authentic. DL and Enjoy… Bisous! X
