We’re pretty big Obama supporters here at Karmaloop HQ, which is why this past weekend our CEO, Greg Selkoe, headed to DC to take part in the celebratory long weekend. And what inauguration is complete without a kick-off party to honor the momentous event? Our Time, an amazing organization that works to register young people to vote (amongst many other youth-oriented initiatives), held a Youth Inaugural Ball titled the Generation Now Party, co-sponsored by yours truly (aka Karmaloop!). Selkoe had the honor of speaking to the 2,500 guests at the event, as well as introducing T-Pain to the stage. Other performers included John Legend and Common. Check out Selkoe in the video below!

We hope you enjoyed the long weekend, the inauguration ceremony, and our inauguration SALE (catch it still now with code FIRSTLADY on Miss KL!). We know we couldn’t be happier about Obama’s second term, and we’re excited for all the great things to come. Until then, here’s a fun little meme we saw making the rounds on social media this weekend. A quote from Jay-Z’s “PSA” track with a photo of Obama? Seems pretty damn appropriate if you ask us.
