As the workload begins to pile up, the weather starts to chill, and the smell of pine needles and cinnamon fills the air, we know that this can only be the sign of one thing – the holidays are just around the corner.  While the 40 days connecting Thanksgiving to the New Year may not seem like enough time to adequately prepare for the excessive indulgence and festivities, I have taken on the battle of the busy bustle. Though I realize the gift giving, party planning, and meal mayhem may be overwhelming, I urge you all to take the time to play by my 5 C’s of this holiday season:

  1. Consume enough chow to create a warm winter coat
  2. Carbonate yourself with bubbly
  3. Chirp along to the cheerful carols
  4. Cherish your family and friends
  5. Costume in all things sparkly, shiny and velvety

While I do love the idea of stomaching a family of gingerbread while belting the lyrics to Winter Wonderland, I most fancy the idea of dressing up in dazzling reds, greens, navys, silvers, and golds. Whether it be a family fette, a professional party, or a get together amongst close pals, make sure to leave the hip huggers behind in light of flowy festive garb. And who knows, maybe you’ll even find someone special waiting under the mistletoe. Here’s my picks for the best dresses to wear for any holiday get-together you attend this year:

Top from left to right: MINKPINK Gold Member’ tee dress; MINKPINK ‘Spellbound’ velvet dress; For Love and Lemons ‘Medina’ mini dress

Bottom from left to right: Motel ‘Elsa’ cap sleeve dress; Evil Twin ‘Precious Metal’ dress; MINKPINK ‘Shining Sequin’ dress; MINKPINK ‘Snow Palace P.M.’ skater dress
