Boots are expensive – it’s a fact. And while buying a new pair is often the highlight of my sartorial winter purchases, it’s not always feasible on a budget. You’re more likely going to see me dropping off an old pair of boots at the local shoe repairman than sporting the latest JC’s (I wish!). So what’s my go to for spicing up a pair of three year old winter shoes I’ve got to trek in all season long? Simple – legwear! Tights, thigh highs, ankle socks – socks with sparkles, ruffles, bows, and polka dots. It’s the cheapest way I’ve found to spruce up an item your friends have seen you sporting for years. If you’re in similar dire need of a new look on your feet, our brands Foot Traffic, Free People, and K. Bell (to name a few) have recently been kind enough to send us dozens of new styles. Check out a few of my favorites below!
