F/W 2012 Runways
While NYFW surely has you looking towards the future (pesky how those designers work so far in advance!), I’d like you to take a break, tear yourself away from scouring those S/S 2013 trends, and step back into the present. Live in the moment, if you will. Say au revoir to Jason Wu’s monochromatic masterpieces, say au revoir to Marc Jacobs’s bold and wonky stripes…
Now look around. It’s not so bad here in the present, right? In my opinion, the September transition from summer to fall is bordering magical. The landscape is gorgeous and the weather is ideal for layering. And thanks to the new color of the moment – a seductive, earthy shade that goes by the name of Oxblood – I have even more reason to be grateful for the change. Sure, you could also call it bordeaux, burgundy, or maroon, but there’s just something about the term Oxblood that has me craving this season’s “new black” all the more.
Flattering for nearly every skin tone and easy to incorporate into any style, investing in some Oxblood items is by far the most practical way to stay on trend in this season. And to make your life even easier (am I enabling laziness?) I’ve selected a few choice Miss KL pieces that show off my new favorite shade. Buy now, wear now!
