Crop tops, bralettes and bustiers are all the rage this summer season. A lot of ladies out there love the look but feel that they’re hard to wear or are clueless on what to pair them with (Ask the Stylist has covered this issue previously too!).  We are going to show you just how versatile and flattering this trend can be when styled correctly. The possibilities are endless, but we pulled together four solid looks to give you an overall idea of how to bare your midriff with confidence.

Look #1: Bustiers can be tricky because they come just beneath the breast and most girls are hesitant to wear them because of their daring short length. Aside from the crop top, another popular trend for the summer season is high-waisted denim shorts, an absolute staple in any girl’s wardrobe. We love everything about the Coachella Bustier by Rojas. The sweetheart neckline, V-cut hemline and colorful Aztec print make this top a stand out. The high-waisted War Paint Short by Evil Twin beautifully compliments this unique bustier. The Ease Shoe by Pelle Moda adds an additional pop of color while remaining comfortable with a cork wedge heel. This look is great for any summer concert, music festival or barbeque. It’s fun, vibrant and really flattering for all those long legged girls out there.

Look #2: Bralettes can also be tough to incorporate into your wardrobe due to the fact that they function much like a normal bra, which of course is not meant to be worn alone. But we put together the perfect look to show you how to wear one without looking like you left the house shirtless! Pairing the In The Dark Bra Top by BOTB by Hellz Bellz with a high-waist maxi like the Burning Up Skirt by Finders Keepers is a great way to make this bralette seem less revealing; acting more as a top.  To give this outfit a more edgy look while still staying on trend, we decided to add the Dimepiece Jean Vest by Dimepiece Designs and the BOTB by Hellz Bellz Stomp Boots.

Look #3: Pairing a fitted crop top with an A-line skirt makes for a sexy and flattering look that can be dressed up or down. We decided to dress it up a bit and show you how to style a crop for a night on the town. Pairing the Weed and Roses Bra Top by Dimepiece Designs with the black faux leather Hot Skirt by Stones shows the perfect amount of skin while remaining flattering.  The Shadow Spike and Stud Bootie by Jeffrey Campbell helps complete this look, making it a gorgeous head-to-toe outfit for any night out. Adding the Mulberry Rose Crown by Cult Gaia gives this look an extra feminine touch.

Look #4: Crops don’t always have to show a lot of skin, there are all different styles so you can be sure to find one you’re comfortable with. They can also be toned down for a more casual and everyday look. For those of you that want to wear an outfit with a crop top to a family event or a day of shopping but want to remain comfortable you can try a look much like this one. We chose to pair this fitted, multicolored striped crop top by Motel with the Dream State Maxi Skirt by Obey and finished it off with the Perfect Wooden Shoe by Jeffrey Campbell. Although this look is casual, it is also super cute and can be worn just about anywhere.
