Yeah, yeah, so the holiday season is over, but that’s no reason to let the your inner sparkle fade! I for one, love this hand picked beauty of a top, The Twinkle Top (coming soon to *Vintage Boutique!), and there’s no reason you shouldn’t love it either. Despite the fluttery look of this piece, you will find that it’s quite warm as it is made of wool and no doubt tons of shiny little sequins. For my first look, I put together a special ensemble for a fun night out with the gals, or perhaps a date night with your one and only. The silvery metallic skirt enhances the blue sheen of the Twinkle Top, and my two favorite complimentary elements are my punctuation pantyhose and my 1940′s perching hat (for those of you wondering how that little saucer balances on my head, it has a little hair comb attached!) For a fun alternative to the skirt I’m wearing, try the Madie Sequin Skirt by Motel or the Hewes Skirt by Lucca Couture with the Naughty and Nice Tights by Betsey Johnson or the Cha Cha Cheetah Paper Print Tights in Camel also by Betsey Johnson.
For my rough and tough hipster look, I go all out with the studs, cuffs, and layering of the belts. There’s no reason to shy away from shorts in the winter, just be sure to layer up with some sweater tights and a hefty coat to go with your outfit. Add a pair of platforms, and you’re ready to rock! Try the Efficiency Belt in Black by remi & reid to add an edge to this sweet top. The Cherry Short by Your Eyes Lie is the perfect match to the Twinkle Top. There are countless amazing shoes on the site to pair up with this outfit! Here are a few: the See Stars Shoe, and the Lita Shoe both by Jeffrey Campbell, or a great pair of Dr. Martens such as the Page 8-Eye Boot in Black Velvet.
This last outfit is a more formal one that you may put together for an interview or job fair. Go for a classic cut pant in leather or velvet. Try the Stretch Velvet Micro-Flare Trouser in Black by Blank Denim or the Rafaella Pant from *Vintage Boutique.
