Who are you and how you’re living.

I’m Nicole Loher. I’m 18 years old, and in my second year at the Fashion Institute of Technology as a Fashion Merchandising student. I’m from a little town outside of Baltimore, Maryland and living in a studio in Manhattan. I’ve interned for Nanette Lepore and Donna Degnan and have blogged for Jeffrey Campbell. I’m a fashion blogger that has gained quite a bit of recognition over the past few months for posting my outfits everyday and giving style advice.  In the forefront of everything going, on is an upcoming position with a well-known luxury interior and apparel textile company, a feature in ACHE Magazine’s July issue, and spot in Seventeen Magazine’s August issue.

What inspires your look?

Although my style always seems to be in limbo, it always comes down to one thing: menswear. I like to mix really soft textures with more masculine pieces. I also find that a lot of my inspiration comes from whom I’m closest with at the time… In other words, my boyfriend and super hip best friend. I really like to wear my man’s shirt tucked into a high-waisted skirt, with wedges and big, bold accessories.

Describe your style:

My style is pretty eclectic with tomboy flare. I’m a little obsessive over sky high heels, messy buns, all things Prada-inspired and Passion lipstick by Chanel. I have my moments of “all girly everything” and “all black everything” but who doesn’t? I live in New York… Sometimes we’re pretty extreme!

What are some of your favorite brands?

Jeffrey Campbell (that’s pretty biased – huh?), J+ for Uniqlo, BB Dakota, Wildfox, Lucy Love, Levi’s (vintage), anything and everything sold in LF, EmersonMade, Baldwin Denim.

If you could wear just one brand for the rest of your life, that brand would be:

I’m doing a great job at ignoring this ‘brand’ thing. I’d own all dresses and skirts by Miu Miu and shoes by ACNE.

What do you think of the current state of fashion?

I absolutely love it. I live in the best era for fashion. We’re at a point where anything goes. Cobra Snake hipsters are still ultra cool and influential, but so are the guys and girls that want to dress poised and polished. It’s incredible. You don’t have to dress a part anymore to blend. There are no more rules to follow.. I mean, look at Lady Gaga. Fashion has become somewhat theatrical, and that’s neat.

Any upcoming brands you’re looking at?

Anything under Run of the Mill, Gant Rugger, or ‘Girls We Hated in High School’ by Jeffrey Campbell. Run of the Mill has a pair of men’s double monks that are going to hit sale soon. Not only does that mean I’ll have a new pair of shoes, but it also means there will be more clothes in stock for me to coo over. Gant isn’t upcoming as of late. But there has been some talk in the internet world of a (potential) woman’s varsity jacket that I would DIE to have. As far as GWHiHS goes, it’s a collection of bags by Campbell that is about to drop. I got to help with the line and watch it all come together. I really can’t wait to get my hands on a tasseled Americana backpack.

Describe yourself in 10 words:

Minx that spits fire, pisses lava, and loves cute shoes.
