Introducing The Shakedown: a new weekly style profile where we feature someone who looks sharp and has an interesting story to match. First up: Alysha Nett…

Who are you and how are you living?
I’m Alysha Nett, and I’m an internet based model with a shopping problem. Life is good and always getting better.

What inspires your look?
Everything. I’m inspired by people, music, textures, emotions, etc.

Describe your style for us:
My style changes depending on what mood I’m in and which item of mine I’m obsessed with at that particular moment. Generally I keep it pretty basic with normal staple items but I try to dress them up with great shoes. I spend a lot of time at thrift stores and scouring the internet because I really like having unique pieces to┬ádress up a normal everyday outfit.

What are some of your favorite brands?
I really don’t pay close attention to brands. I just buy what I like. My Jeffrey Campbell collection is getting a little out of control though.

If you could wear just one brand for the rest of your life, what would it be?
There’s no way I could ever pick one brand. How boring!

What do you think of the current state of fashion?
I’ve actually been more inspired by people’s personal style as opposed to what the fashion industry tells us is cool right now. I’d rather see someone in something that makes them feel cool instead of Aztec print harem pants. But hey, if someone actually feels cool in those, then more power to ‘em.

Any upcoming brands you’re looking at?
I recently shot with Nikki Lipstick for her new run of crop tops. She just started pumping those out and I really liked them. Perfect length and super comfortable. Same thing for Steezy, I was really impressed with the quality of the tanks and shirts.

Describe yourself in 10 words:
Pizza loving model with a shopping problem and Midwestern values.
