Happy New Year! Though I think some of that “new year, new you”, “out with the old, in with the new” sentiment can be quite cheesy, we can’t help but be excited about spring trends. One of my resolutions? To incorporate more color! Black is always my standby, and we know the fashion world loves its basic neutrals. But what fun is mixing and matching without bright hues and mellow tones? Refinery29 has profiled some of the color trends spotted on the runway and I can’t wait to see the interpretations our fabulous Karmaloop brands have come up with! What are the polished picks?
- Pink, but not a bubblegum tone. The rosy shades in vogue are warm variations of Pantone’s Color of the Year, honeysuckle pink. (Already you’ve have a sneak peek of Jeffrey Campbell’s take on pink!)
- Juicy orange.
- Citrus-y yellows.
- Blue ranging the spectrum of almost neon to sky blues and all the way to rich navy.
- Earth tones like clay and rust, great neutrals.
- And finally, the neutral of all neutrals — white. Which is definitely a nod to warmer weather as well as the more minimalistic silhouettes of the season.
Did this brighten up your day or what!?
